A man appears before St. Peter at the pearly gates. "Have you ever done anything of particular merit?" St. Peter asks. "Well, I can think of one thing," the man offers. "Once, on a trip to the Black Hills, out in South Dakota, I came upon a gang of high-testosterone bikers who were threatening a young woman. I directed them to leave her alone, but they wouldn't listen. So I approached the largest and most heavily tattooed biker. I smacked him on the head, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring and threw it on the ground, and told him, 'Leave her alone now or you'll answer to me.'" St. Peter was impressed. "When did this happen?" "Just a couple of minutes ago."

Terry Announces Candidacy In California Recall Election As the league leading Office Linebacker for four years running, "Terrible" Terry Tate possesses the vision, the experience, and the unique ability "to bring the pain up in this humpy-bumpy" that California so desperately needs. Terry promises to end partisan gridlock by knocking some fiscal sense into the corporate lobbyists, career bureaucrats, and partisan politicians who are at the heart of the problem: "I'm the type of player that player haters hate to play - cause I'm 100% heart baby, all day, every day." Once elected, Mr. Tate will tackle white collar crime: "Ya'll suckah's who don't pay taxes and hang out on your Gucci yachts? With Triple T in charge, you know you gonna get caught." Terry also commits himself to reducing overcrowding at schools, improving air quality, and eliminating "long-[expletive] coffee breaks - five minutes tops, or ya'll gonna get clocked." And despite the risk inherent in being the top executive of the state, Terry stands alone among leading candidates in his pledge to realize the hopes and dreams of the voters of California without taking a vacation or a sick day. "Playin' hurt? Baby that don't phase me. The only pain I got time for is the pain I put on fools who don't know what time it is." Most importantly, a vote for Terry Tate is a vote for a better future for California's children, families, and businesses: "I'm gonna govern the [expletive] out of this state. Believe that, California." Visit terrytate.reebok.com now.

"MUSICIANS EDUCATION....(Something to fall back on in case the music biz doesen't work out)... Marketing 101 Several friends have asked for an explanation of Marketing. Perhaps the following examples will help clear it up: You see a handsome guy at a party. You go up to him and say, "I'm fantastic in bed." That's Direct Marketing. You're at a party with a bunch of friends and see a handsome guy. One of your friends goes up to him and pointing at you says, "She's fantastic in bed." That's Advertising. You see a handsome guy at a party. You go up to him and get his telephone number. The next day you call and say, "Hi, I'm fantastic in bed." That's Telemarketing. You're at a party and see a handsome guy. You get up and straighten your dress. You walk up to him and pour him a drink. You say, "May I?" and reach up to straighten his tie brushing your breast lightly against his arm, and then say, "By the way, I'm fantastic in bed." That's Public Relations. You're at a party and see a handsome guy. He walks up to you and says, "I hear you're fantastic in bed." That's Brand Recognition. You're at a party and see a handsome guy. You talk him into going home with your friend. That's a Sales Rep. Your friend can't satisfy him so he calls you. That's Tech Support. You're on your way to a party when you realize that there could be handsome men in all these houses you're passing. So you climb onto the roof of one situated toward the center and shout at the top of your lungs, "I'm fantastic in bed!" That's Spam.

I saw your Haloween show (lady in outrageous red wig) and really enjoyed it. Sorry it took me so long to express my appreciation, it has been crazy lately. I used to have a friend, years ago, who had his own band, so I can appreciate all the hard work and professionalism you exhibited. I am trying to talk my new boyfriend into bringing me to see you. Do we get reservations by just calling the Enclave? I realize Friday and Saturday nights are your busiest nights. Which is the least busy? We dressed in black tie attire for the Haloween party. Is that required for the nightclub all the time (especially if we don't eat in the restaurant, but just come to see your show)? What time does your show usually start? If we don't eat dinner, how much is the cover charge?

E This song I wrote sums up how I feel about Young & Unique. Each of us has a hidden place somewhere deep within ourselves; A place where we go to get away, to think things through, to be alone, to be ourselves. This unique place, where we confront our deepest feelings, becomes a storehouse of all our hopes, all our needs, all our dreams, and even our unspoken fears. It encompasses the essence of who we are and what we want to be. But now and then, whether by chance or design, someone discovers a way into that place we thought was ours alone. And we allow that person to see, to feel and to share all the reason, all the uncertainty and all the emotion we store there. That person adds new perspective to our hidden realm, then quietly settles down in his own corner of our special place, where a bit of him will stay forever. I call that person a friend. Deb

A "LOVE" SONG
- Tuesday, July 11, 2000 at 16:56:38 (CDT)
I wrote a country song for you Bobby...see if you like it... I met her on the highway sort of pregnant; I can still recall the boxer shorts she wore; She was talkin' in Swahili but I loved her, and I knew no guy would ever love her more; The blood test showed I'd have my rash forever; She said to me her brother's name was Hy; But who'd have thought she'd run off on 'The Gong Show'; But that's the way that pygmies say goodbye.

Here is a little suggestion of what the Bobby Young and the Unique need...a Mission Statement!...here is what I reccomend. Mission Statement: We will holisticly provide access to value-added niche markets and also authoritatively conceptualize goal-oriented scenarios and continue to continually develop corporate technology to delight the customer.

I would like to thank you for playing your music very well for me on the last Saturday night. It has a distinctly hypnotic effect on the ladies I was trying to be with. Maybe I can be the lucky one on my next visit!

In response to Mr. Boones calculation for the combined alleged age of "Young & Unique"....isin't it closer to 960 (considering the advanced ages of the two string instrument players?
Clyde Phillips <clydep@micrografx.com>

Isn't it about time you guys changed your name from "Young" and Unique to something more appropriate? (You know, considering the combined age of the band is about 850).
